    Will you be showing the survey results?
    Also, now that you mention it, would you perhaps consider a cydia release for the GV Mobile app?

    Good idea… Then you don’t have to trip on the limitations Apple place on apps to be approved for the app store.

    Sean
    I have not read every post, and I am sure this has come up before, but at what point do you consider unleashing this via Cydia? The only comment I read before was regarding the app fee, which you can control with a license key. I KNOW this is not the preferred method, but it could get us past this current gap. I personally would purchase it via Cydia to have it now, and then via the app store to have the updates later.
    The piece I have no info. on is if Apple disqualifies your app if it shows up in Cydia??
    Just a thought. Come one already Apple – give it up!!

    @ChiGuy I’m considering all options…

  7. April 21st, 2009 at 09:27

    is it possible to get a copy of the GV mobile beta?

  8. April 21st, 2009 at 10:44

    Sean, what service did you use to post this form? I like how cleanly it works.

  9. April 21st, 2009 at 10:56

    @Andrew Warner WordPress plugin called ‘Surveys’. It’s very simple and clean, but no way for my users to view the results. I don’t think it filters out dupes either.

    You might also ask who has an iPod Touch….

    @Becca I don’t care about those users…kidding…good idea.

    @Sean: I would buy this through Cydia or on the Cydia Store if Apple refuses to accept it! I’m sure there are quite a few others who didn’t get one of your ad-hoc invites, like me, who would as well. Had I known Apple would drop the ball on this so much I would have developed my own, at least just to get it working – via internet, as yours is, not like GV Dialer’s DTMF method. Apple hasn’t even given a reasonable solution in the same space as yours.

    I know we are all freaking out because we want this but isnt this normal? if Apple has a backlog of apps to approve then it would normally take a while right? the only thing that bothers me is it took about 5 days to get rejected right? so shouldnt it have taken about another 5 days to get either accepted or re-rejected?

    Guy’s I have to tell you…I was one of the LUCKY ones to get an advance copy ( ad-hoc ) of this app…I use it every day, all throughout the day..IT IS A GREAT APP! Sean, you have really developed an app worthy of the price, though to be honest, it is worth way more than 2.99! Keep up the good work, I know the wait is killing you, but the reward will pay off in the end. You WILL come out ahead. Thank you and continued success!!

  15. April 21st, 2009 at 14:28

    @Kingoftowns Yeaa…the free version has been ignored for 23 days and the premium for 20 days (rejected after 6 days – 4 biz days).

  16. April 21st, 2009 at 14:29

    @Stevie D Thanks

  17. April 21st, 2009 at 15:13

    @Stevie D I really trust in that… Thanks for the upkeep! I know from experience and comments that this wait is killing all of us… Apple needs to get their priorities in order. GV Mobile has been in the process for 23 days now… I know of apps that were sent in this morning and are in the store now! Now how is that right?

    I took the survey knowing the iTouch is really not a phone. However, I was trying to indicate the fact I would certainly jailbreak an iPhone should i ever purchase one. i would love to see the availability of using non-provider restricted devices such as the iTouch with capabilities and options for the “tech-savvy”, “hobbyist”, “devs” etc. Whereas the time and knowledge applied would allow for users to utilize apps/progs akin to GV, Skype (and similar clients), along with the pc to transmit/receive calls. There cost(s)to consumers could be collaborative to ensure that all the devs and businesses involved could ‘divvy’ the proceeds pie.
