I’d LOVE to review gvmobile 2 on my website. I was very happy with gvmobile 1 until apple got rid of it.

So glad that this guy was able to get an invite to ‘review’ the app. writes basically 5 words that anyone can easily surmise based upon the screenshots, and ends with this lovely anecdote:

“I’ll add more screenshots when my iPhone stops being gay.”

It is what it is, man. I can’t really add anything more than the flaws I found. Want an even more in-depth review? All config files are stored in private/var/mobile/Documents and you have to set the app’s permission to 777 or it won’t launch. Gizmo5 support has not been fixed (and was recently broken in version 1.X as well). The app saves an mp3 file of all downloaded voicemails and doesn’t delete itself when you close the app. Version 1.X had a memory leak when you keep texting and keep the app backgrounded for a while, but I haven’t seen that issue yet, mostly because I’m too busy enjoying the UI enhancements. You can’t compose new SMSes yet as this has not been implemented yet and the config file stores all your info in binary format. As I said in the review, I’ll keep you posted on the app as time goes by on http://www.iModZone.net.

Am working hard to break something on the beta and it’s not happening. It’s pretty amazing. The near instant connection when dialing out is amazing.

I use GV alot ! I would give the software a great workout. Would be happy to beta for you. You’ve got the email…

I would love to get an invite for the GV 2 beta as well. I love the 1.22 version and cannot wait for this newer version.

Hey Sean I hate to whine or beg but it’s my birthday and I did pay for the app when it was in the appstore then I downloaded it from the repo and I use it every single day….can I get a beta invite as a birthday present?….yes I’m shamelessly using my date of birth as an excuse to get it because otherwise I never get anything special for my birthday being that it’s between christmas and new years …c’mon make this one special for me
