This version doesnt prompt me to update… but rather to install. What are the changes in this version. I assume I need to uninstall my old version and install this version? I guess i should wait to do that until this error is resolved.

Wow… I pressed install… and the screen went black (power off) and then I got the apple logo.. instantly!

any idea of when google voice is gonna be excepting people? ive been waiting on an invite forever

I just upgraded and I am getting a crash every time I select the star for favorites menu.

Mike N – how long did it take you to get your invites? I got a google voice number around Xmas and haven’t got any to give out yet. My wife needs one and I had hoped my three invites would be released to me by now.

It took over I think 3 months…

i have the old version of gv mobile and it is crashing when i click on history or SMS or voicemail and settings dont connect to google voice. has the old version been disabled completely?

people sell the invites on ebay for around $3-5

Sean quick question…I purchased GV Mobile+ for my iPhone 2g last week and my girl just got me a new iPhone 3g a few days ago…I’m trying to figure out how to move the program over…I purchased it when it came out in the appstore then again thru Cydia…am I going to have to pay yet again?….you can email me directly if you’d like but I would love to have an answer….help!

Sean, one thing which would make a huge difference for me is if the offline dialing could accomodate the “+” in front the numbers (example: +1818XXXXXXX). I make lots of international calls so all of the numbers in my Google Contacts are formatted as such. The offline dialing is a huge advantage to GVMobile+ for me, but going through and changing the 700+ of my contact numbers would be an arduous task.

You don’t need the plus sign when dialing outside US.

I just upgraded to GV+. One feature request is that the Contacts list in the app does not seem to include any Business contacts– those that just have a company and no first/last name. I have many Businesses which show up in my normal contacts list, but not in the GV+ app. Can you update the app to include those?

hey sean quick suggestion for gv mobile: any way to turn off the badge icon? Also I have offline dialing on and it dials everything but the pound key at the end…thx again dude

sean, I got the app yesterday and it works beautifully. I adore the offline feature. I don’t mind the brief waiting period at all. Thank you.

Love your app, I put it to very good use. I have a problem when I use the offline dialing, it does not work properly. I have done it manually and it works fine. Here’s what happens when I use the offline dialing from GV Mobile+. It dials my number, then”,” which I assume is a pause, then my pin. There’s no * before my pin. When I dial manually when I do not have 3G service, I dial as followed:
1) GV#
2)*PIN
3)2
4)Tel# of the person.
How can we resolve this issue? All we have to do is add * before my pin.

I tried it again, it will dial out. But it does not recognize the comma, it will leave me a message. On the message I can hear the buttons being pressed with the telephone number that I wanted to dial.
Do i have to set up a default area code?

It sounds strange. I am only using the offline dialing service and it works like a charm. I don’t have a data plan on my phone so it is the only way I can dial using the address book without having to write down the number and then dial everything manually.

Did you set it up that it will call your GV number?

I bought the new gv mobile+ and was unsuccessful in installing (size mismatch). I tried going back to the free gvmobile and It’s giving me the same size mismatch error. When I checked my old 2G (running same unlocked 3.0), and it installed the free one without an issue. I also noted it was v1.5, but on my 3GS, its version 1.22.1. Can someone help me get this resolved? Miss the app already!

I cannot install gv mobile+ spent over 8 hours over last 2 days trying to install. I get size mismatch errors to host unreachable…any sugestions?

i’m trying to update to the latest (2.1.50? 2.1.60?) and get the “Size mismatch” error message.

you can shell to the command prompt and try to fix it.
- su root
- apt-get update

[if you see errors, it's probably in /var/lib/apt/lists]

i ran the apt-update command a couple of times, then went to cydia and reloaded any out-of-date apps. appeared to me this command alone cleared out the stuck downloads. the original recipe continued:

- apt-cache policy cydia
[if you see errors, it's probably same as above]

- cd /var/lib/apt/lists
- rm *

[if something is in "partial" directory, go there and rm * that too. when
done, do: apt-get update]

- cd /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
- rm *
- apt-get update

I purchased GV+ 2 weeks back by paying $2.99 however it was not very useful for me. In spite of dialing from GV+ through wifi or 3G, I am getting my AT&T cell service billed. I tesetd throughly several times. I have made the call forward to my AT&T number when some one calling me on my GV number. In this case I shouldnt get charged for outgoing calls through GV via wifi or 3G but this is not case with me.

Since there was an update given by you last week, I thought this may fix the problem but it didn’t. Please refund my last week purchase. I didn’t know that I will be charged for the update as well. I woudl request you to refund my money back since I am not happy with the GV+ service.
