Login issues

I am aware of a login issue and am looking into it. Thanks for the heads up!

UPDATE: Issue should be resolved now. Seems like it was something on Google’s end.

    I’m having a problem similar to Ryan, and it just started today. GVM+ doesn’t crash, but the “Signing in” window appears for a few seconds, and when it goes away my SMS/History/Voicemail are all blank, but there are no errors. When I try to make a call it shows me the error: “Google Voice refused to make the call. This may be due to a couple reasons…invalid number, blah blah…Your login token is incorrect.”

    @I want GV Mobile 2.0 Being as the competition just now caught up to what GV Mobile + has had for half a year, I think my feature-set is great. There is only so much you can add to an application before it becomes bloated. I think my update cycles are on par with other companies…

    I having a lot of trouble today after I updated to the new version 2.1 GVM+ doesn’t crash, but the “Signing in” window appears for a few seconds and after act like a flash light Signing in and blank , any idea how to fix this problem?

    Just happened to me today too, it was working fine last night. It would crash when I refresh SMS/HISTORY/VOICEMAIL. So I removed and install it again, but now it keeps asking for the credentials. And like Mike, it would also crash again if it takes it once and I checked SMS/history/VM.

    Also tried getting GV mobile+ and I get the magic key error.

    I guess I’ll have to wait it out and hopefully it’ll work soon…

    Would I delete the account from within GVM+? I haven’t needed to do that yet… I only get about 5 seconds in the app until it crashes, so it could be tricky.

    I tried rebooting, re-installing, uninstalling completely, then installing again, all with no luck…

    I’m having the same problem. My GV mobile+ just stopped working. I was not on wifi but was on 3G. It seems that its only on GV mobile+, because I also have the competitor’s app, and there is no problem. I can call & txt with no problem but I rather use GV mobile+. Sean I hope you can resolve this soon.

    I deleted my account and added it back. Now when I try to enable the account I get the magic key error. Any other ideas?

    I believe it’s the same problem we had a week or two ago. Prob Google’s end again. Just gotta wait it out I guess.

    Getting the Magic Key error now. Same thing happened to me this morning, so i think it’s on google’s end. However i don’t think deleting my account in GV M+ was wise lol

    I’m not getting the “Magic Key” just yet, I think it’s just GV mobile+. For now I’m using the competitor’s one, since I use google voice for work and can’t afford to miss any calls.And I’m having no problem with it.

    I’m having the problems as well gang. The login API Google switched us to a year ago is broken.

    Sean, please if this is a gv mobile+ problem tell us how to fix it. my hacked iphone on prepaid isnt the same with without this app as I HATE the gv webapp, pleaseeeeeeeeee

    Thank goodness I found this site. I just purchased the + version and can’t get it to work. Glad to know it is something not related to me. Any time frames on when it will be fixed or what exactly the problem is? Thx…

    Just want to confirm, I have once again the same magic key error which can be bypassed by accessing Google voice through Safari but then it still wont connect to google and I can’t dial out. same error as we had several weeks ago:

    “Google Voice refused to make the call. This may be due to a couple of reasons.
    1) An invaldi phone to ring (phone number to make the call from).
    ***Google now forces you to use one of your call forwarding numbers to call from.***
    2) You’re trying to call a incorrect number
    3) Your login token is incorrect.

    Sean, I hope you can get the program running again. We anxiously await your awesome skills.

    I, too, now have this elusive magic key error. When I tried to refresh my SMS, I got the “Signing in” screen, then a blank list. Deleted my account(s), re-added, now I get the magic key error. Tried signing in in Safari then GVM+, no change. I suppose I will use Black Swan for a while, but I look forward to an update so I can go back to GVM+.

    Is working for me now, what I did is I sent a sms thru safari and the I opened GV and it sync all the sms, calls, and voicemails

    Signing in through Safari and sending an SMS and making a phone call also worked for me. My GV Mobile+ app on a jailbroken iPhone 3GS is working again!

    To P_NY and Shawn, just wondering, did you guys delete your credentials or reinstall the app before doing this?

    Or you didn’t do anything and just straight away tried that method?

    Just tried Blackswan right now, and it isn’t working either. It keeps asking to save my credentials when I already did.

    As Sean said, it’s definitely on Google’s end.

    this is def. strange. Followed these steps and it worked!!!

    This is what I did. GV stopped working by flashing the screen and then crashing. In the 5 seconds it allowed me to navigate I switched the data sync to manual. Then it stopped crashing. I deleted the accounts in settings, uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. At that time it gave me the magic key error. I logged in to google voice through safari at which time the magic key error went away but gv mobile was not retrieving any info and I could not place calls. Then I followed the steps above with the sms sending and it worked!!!!!

    I hope it doesn’t crash again. I am so dependent on GV for my business that not having this app puts everything on hold or in jeopardy. And please no smart ass remarks like “should have gotten an android” I’ve had google voice and iphone long before android came out. Maybe for my next phone :)

    Yea there’s no fix yet. That trick you guys have is temporary and it doesn’t solve the overall problem.

    Well, im unlucky and deleted my account, the Magic Key error is still there so theres no way for many of us who deleted the account to do this SMS trick since we can’t even sign on.

    Hope it gets fixed somehow, i guess it’s webapp for now.

    Just as last time, it still works fine on Roger’s 3G network, not on wireless with Shaw cable.

    This is a serious bug. I’ve had the magic key AND the perpetual “sign on” error loop for awhile now. Since I paid for GV+, I would hope for some better support.

    The frustrations continue!!!!
    GV Mobile once again started flashing and crashing. I logged in through Safari and got the app to stop crashing but it is not connecting to the google server. The txt msg trick no longer works for me.

    SEAN please end this torture once and for all!!!

    I had the magic key error, also. But in combing the web I FOUND A SOLUTION THAT FIXED THIS MAGIC KEY LOGIN ISSUE (at least for me). Turn off multiple account sign in in google. That’s it. Go to https://www.google.com/accounts/MultipleSessions and make sure it’s disabled. Voila!

    Also getting the MAGIC KEY LOGIN ISSUE. Disabling multiple account sign in on google is not an option. Thanks for the fix ikaika. I’m sure that’s what it is with me.

    I’ll just keep using VoiceCentral Black Swan, which does not suffer from this problem.
