Having problems updating. I have purchased GV Mobile + through the App Store (when it was there) and Cydia. I had version 2.0.10 (I think?) going into this update. I never received an update notice for the most recent update through the Changes screen on Cydia. I went looking for the update when I went to use GV Mobile + and it didn’t work due to the changes Google has made.

I found the update by searching Cydia. The search came back with 2 listings for GV Mobile+: the new update 2.1.50 which from Modmyi and the version I had from unknown source. I tried installing the 2.1.50 version which Cydia indicates as “Package Officially Purchased” and got a size mismatch. I then uninstalled the 2.1.10 version and tried again to install the 2.1.50 version and still got a size mismatch error.

    Please help.

    Sean,

Solid effort on the GV Mobile app but for me, the Google Voice app still reigns supreme because of one huge oversight on your part and this is what it is…

    - GV Mobile (the free version and the paid version) dials your phone registered with Google Voice everytime you initiate a call. When I dial a number, I don’t want to have to answer a call from myself to continue with the connection of my initial call.

    - With the Google Voice web app, after you initiate a call, it just displays a pop up with a main switchboard number to which you just press “Call” to make it dial directly. If you can get your GV Mobile app to do this exactly, you will be ahead of the game.

If you want to completely surpass the web app, you need to find a way to circumvent the need to even have the pop up appear in order to initiate the call. In otherwords, find a way to make the call dial out directly without any further prompts for actions needed from the operator. I have full confidence that you’re able to do this and if and when you do, you will have THE premiere Google Voice app in the world where all others are held up to in comparison.

Is it just me or a bug? In GV Mobile 1.55, every time I click on History or Voicemail, it just crashes. However, SMS works just fine and it retrieves the SMS history. Any suggestions?

is GVMobile no longer supported? this crash issue hasnt been fixed in over 6 months. Do we just have to buy GVMobile+ now?

Yeah, I’m not particularly eager to buy GV Mo+ when there seems to be no response about this clear bug, even at the seankovacs website. You can see people over there angry about his lack of communication.

    Two resources to consider:

Gizmodo mentions the crash-prone nature of GV Mobile and recommends VoiceCentral instead: http://gizmodo.com/5239932/voicecentral-iphone-app-controls-google-voice-somewhat-better

And iClarified has a feature list for GV Mo+ that mentions the fix of a crashing problem: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=8353
