GV Mobile + v2.5.4 available

June 26th, 2012

I changed the networking bits to something more modern (bye bye ASI, hello AF). This should resolve any outstanding dialing and sms sending issues.

    Sean …. I love this app and use it daily. It’s by far the best GV app out there. Going forward, any plans to incorporate VOIP capability through Google Talk directly in the app? That would allow most people to get rid of Talkatone and just use your app instead of the two together.

    We need the capability to receive pictures.

    There is a virus on the gv+ server or something. I received thousands of the same email from noreply@gvmpl.us asking me to verify my address for the push notification .

    I’m trying to call numbers using offline calling, but it’s not working. I believe it’s because it’s not adding the # at the end of the number. If I add the # manually it’s working. Can you please fix this?

    Did you check/read the instructions on how to get push notifications working? It involves changing some settings in your GV account.

    Sean – Love the app. However, every update I’ve received in last year doesn’t seem to address the SMS texting problem I have. It seems many of the texts I write and then send never get sent or show up. I then send it again, a 2nd time and it works. It has forced me to open my browser on iphone to text.

    This has been my favorite GV app for a while now. Just got the iphone 4S and installed the latest updated app and it is horrible – takes me 2 or 3 times for a text conversation to pop up when pressing on the conversation….when typing most of the time the letters don’t start appearing until after 2 seconds of typing. What happend to this app? It was fine before, now it is almost unusable.

        So what you are saying is you changed devices and it’s slower? Is this a stock phone? I’d try updating or restoring the OS.
