Nice update as usual. Love how when you mention updates, it's available really quickly (and not three months later).

Is there a way to later one integrate the "Sending" status into the top bar like the native iOS apps? It's still way better than the enormous Google "Sending" that pops up when you send a message, but I'd like to be able to write another text while another is being sent.

Also, when I open a text notification, the app loads the conversation, but it doesn't always automatically refresh the convo to include the latest message. Is there a way for the app to automatically refresh whenever a convo is opened?

Hi Sean,
For some reason, push notification is not working. If I refresh manually the text messages come in, but not automatically. I followed the set up instructions. I have a 3GS on 5.1 FW.

Please disregard my previous question, I must have had a wrong number when it asked me my cell number. I un-installed, then re-installed the app, paid close attention to the phone number, and now everything is a-okay. :)

Installed the app, and when setting it up, I am unable to select direct dial option. I'm told that I need to have the phone listed in my forwding phones, and it is, yet for some reason it is not being recognized as having the number in the forwding phones setting. I was able to have it working fine in the previous version, and i'm not sure if the setting is needed to be set on the phone app or the GV website. any support would be appricated. Thank you

I installed the app a couple of weeks ago and have noticed that after some period of time (hours or days), I can no longer make calls, update the list of received texts, or receive push notifications. All features of the app work just fine when I first open the app, but it almost seems like the login to GV times out and never refreshes. The refresh screens ("pull down to refresh") hang with a "loading" message or a "placing call" message. As I said, the features all work fine for a while, so I doubt there is a configuration issue. If I reboot my phone, the problem goes away and I can use the app again. Any ideas?

Craig - yeah, after some time (not sure how long), Google will bump out a conversation into a new conversation (fresh slate). This confuses the app currently. The fix is to jump out of the conversation if its an old one and see if a new one is there.
It's pretty painful to combine those conversations as is, hence why my app is the only one to do it. I'll see what I can do in fixing this particular issue.

I suppose it depends if iOS is killing it while in the background due to memory restrictions. So a full launch is needed. Try rebooting your phone to free up memory.

I've found sometimes when I have kept a text conversation open for a while, if I continue it, I don't see the text as part of the old thread (I'll type the text, send, see it but then it disappears) but I see it if I go to standalone "text", which is misleading so I usually send the same texts to people over and over, thoughts on this?

Sean...thanks for the update. One question: there seems to be a 5 seconds lag when I open the app. Is this common?
