For some reason, my push notifications just stopped working. They were working fine yesterday. Now, when I sign in and try to enable push notifications, it just says “Syncing push settings…”. Please help!

Same here, actually was working as of a few hours ago, just stopped out of nowhere. Any information is appreciated.

How do I make phone calls using this app. I just bought this app for my ipad2.

This app does not work did not give free texting or blocking .
When I deleted the app it did not delete the voicemail service with email & just beeps
For a voicemail . & then no one knows what to do

I revieve the swanky notification atop my iPhone screen when a text arrives, I click the notification and it opens GV Mobile, however the text is nowhere to be found. Upon a few refreshes it eventually appears. Annoyingly slow!

Are u ever gonna bring iOS 5 Support, app has been crashing on startup since very first iOS 5 Beta.

Writing a text message is still off. The text input area filling the entire screen is too much, mostly because Google imposes a 2×160 character limit on text messages. This equates to about two lines of text. Why all the whitespace?

Furthermore, after a tap/hold on a message in the inbox and selecting “Call”, the keypad that comes up is…off. The keys are all jammed up in the top left hand corner, and the rest of the screen is a repeating texture.

A little more love would make this app great!

This used to work great, but now it’s crashing on startup. It says “Loading …” and then disappears. I’ve had to revert to the Google app because I can’t get this to work.

My phone just began exhibiting the same behavior as the previous poster. Shows “loading…”, then returns to iPhone home screen. How can I reinstall. Will that even help?

Fresh installation, didn’t ask me if I wanted push notifications. Removed and re-installed. Still won’t ask. Don’t see the app in the Notifications page under settings.

I’ve just bought this app, installed it, and when trying to log in it says: Auth Error (Authentication error (Level 2).

SO, what to do now? where’s the support?

I accidentally blocked a contact and I can’t get it to unblock. There is no indication on the block contact button (highlighting etc) that indicates if it’s on or off. I have pushed the button again and it’s not working (contact calls and gets disconnected notification). Please help.

I am having the same issue. I wonder why the notification is so quick but the actual text does not appear without refreshing. I can even wait several minutes after the notification is received and I still need to refresh to receive the actual text.

Push notifications have been down for me since yesterday. Is the server down? We need some warning before this happens.

I just purchased GV Mobile + and am definitely pleased with its snappiness! The only thing that I can’t figure out is why the text entry field expands to take up the entire area above the keyboard. I could see why if I was writing a book, but a text is only 160 characters. Why not reduce the text field size so I can see the conversation that I’m responding to?

But seriously, this app kicks the official app’s tail.

Chris: On the text entry screen slowly drag down from the top of it and it will show you some of your conversation..

I can’t seem to get a badge with unread messages or notifications to show with the app. (I’ve set them up in the notifications center). How can I fix this?

I have acquired some new issues from your site about pc’s. Another thing I’ve always imagined is that computer systems have become a product that each household must have for many people reasons. They offer convenient ways in which to organize the home, pay bills, search for information, study, tune in to music and perhaps watch tv series. An innovative solution to complete all of these tasks has been a computer. These personal computers are mobile ones, small, robust and easily transportable.

I always use the offline call .. please find a way to append # at the end of the number to dial, that way i dont have to press # anymore

Over the past couple weeks, the push notifications stopped working on all of my devices. It was working fine for quite some time, then just stopped. Since the push requires an email, do we have to log in somewhere and clear an inbox? Please let me know what I can do to fix the push, as I really don’t want to go back the official GV app.

Push notifications no longer work. Badges don’t work either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still won’t work.

Just like the 3 comments above, my push notifications have stopped working too. Is the problem on a GV Mobile server? Is it something where a reinstall of the app would fix? Is there anything I can do to get it working again?

Just like the previous 4 comments, my push notifications have also stopped working. It has been about a month. They were working perfectly for a year before this. Sean, please let us know what’s up.

Just like the previous 5 comments, my push notifications have also stopped working too. I’m missing messages left and right. I did a factory reset. That didn’t work either so it’s go to be the app. Please fix this!!

The latest update has a serious flaw. When I enter the pass code to unlock the app, it opens just fine as long as there is nothing new to download from the google servers.

However. If I have received new texts to google voice, then after the passcode is entered the screen pauses and then goes back to the iOS icons screen.

If I them restart the app again, I can login and are the new message that has somehow been already loaded.

This is a new behavior with the latest update. V2.4.0408.

when I text with my google voice number it doesn’t always get through even though it says it has sent, or else someone tells me that they texted me the other day but I never received it. I’ve tried re-installing it but it is still the same. Do you know what is wrong and how I can fix it?

Issues with new version:

-Can no longer hold name from main screen to call/text/add contact etc
-App crashes more than usual
-When receiving calls can no longer hit 1 to accept call via screening (not sure if this is app or google voice but it started after the upgrade)

Latest update (2.4.0425) much better but still has a problem when I dial a number – more often than not when I dial a number from the keypad screen it gets stuck on the keypad screen and never dials the Google Voice number – using Direct Dial call method.

Same issues as Lee III & Craig. It’s very frustrating.
-App closes every other time opened (when it’s trying to update from server)
-Won’t dial out to a phone # using previous texts/messages/calls

App crashes every time it’s opened. Tried to redownload but it’s no longer in the iTunes store. Bought GV Connect which works perfectly. There have been past problems with GVMobile+ which leads me to believe the developer just isn’t capable of making working iOS apps.

Direct calling seems to have stopped working. It just sits there and never connects the call.

The app does not work and isn’t in store. I take it that this app is done right.. Who know of another app that I can use that had the push functionality? did his competitor figure out the push yet?

looks like the app is done, great I wonder if we get a refund for this crap… I’m back to using the crappy app, at least the push still works and tells me when I actually get a message.

What gives? This is the second time I’ve bought your app… Yes, I bought the first one that was pulled from the app store then bought this one. Now this one doesn’t work either.

Guys, if your app is crashing on startup, try removing it and reinstalling it. I’m guessing it’s pulled from the app store to correct the bug. But you can reinstall either by restoring purchases or through iTunes

Where is the update dude?

I’ve always had a few texts show up as duplicates in the app, but now it’s every text. Two notifications. Two threads showing up in the inbox. In general the threading of messages is broken as a result. I thought maybe the problem was Google, but everything looks good on that end. Anybody else have the same issue?

I installed the app a couple of weeks ago and have noticed that after some period of time (hours or days), I can no longer make calls, update the list of received texts, or receive push notifications. All features of the app work just fine when I first open the app, but it almost seems like the login to GV times out and never refreshes. The refresh screens (“pull down to refresh”) hang with a “loading” message or a “placing call” message. As I said, the features all work fine for a while, so I doubt there is a configuration issue. If I reboot my phone, the problem goes away and I can use the app again. Any ideas?

Installed the app, and when setting it up, I am unable to select direct dial option. I’m told that I need to have the phone listed in my forwding phones, and it is, yet for some reason it is not being recognized as having the number in the forwding phones setting. I was able to have it working fine in the previous version, and i’m not sure if the setting is needed to be set on the phone app or the GV website. any support would be appricated. Thank you

Please disregard my previous question, I must have had a wrong number when it asked me my cell number. I un-installed, then re-installed the app, paid close attention to the phone number, and now everything is a-okay.
